wow i was invested as shit, and the way things were unfolding, and you kept realizing you’re not really just trying to stop a time loop, you’re trying to solve a murder mystery, etc the way the game gives you objectives through dialogue i found actually really fucking good. I have to say the first 2/3rds of the game are awesome. Okay, i almost never write anything about games or reviews at all, but this game in particular i find i disagree with the higher reviews. The time loop is our visualisation of the son's procces to deal with the shock and trauma.Įdit: typos and i forgot to mention that the game was truly amazing and i enjoyed all 12 minutes of it. He then takes his son to his office to explains everything to him and tells him he can never see or contact his wife/sister again which brings the son into shock. Eventually the father meets the husband (the protagonist) and realizes that he is his son from the affair he had. Time passes and the daughter gets married and gets pregnant. The death of his wife pushed his daughter away even more but he still loved and cared about her. This pushed his wife and then his daughter away.

So what actually happend was: The father had an affair with the nanny who kept the baby. Time loops f'ing suck, good thing they are not real. It took me 4 hours to finish the game and my head hurts. There might be more clues but i can't think of any more right now. The pocket watch is a prejection of the watch on the wall in front of him in his father's office. The pregnancy is supposed to be a surprise in the time loop but in reality both the protagonist and the father already know about it.

But you can still chose to remain with her and of course the father dies and you end up back in the time loop which means the protagonist still can't accept the truth. In the first flashback with the father where he has long hair all your answears are to still remain with your wife/sister meaning the protagonist is not ready to accept the truth so no matter what you choose the father gets shot and you end up back in the time loop but in the second flashback (which is not actually a flashback but the present and the father is bald) you have the answer to never see or contact your wife again which means that the protagonist is ready to accept the truth and move on which ends the game. In the time loop the cop serves the same purpose because he is the one who gives you most of the answers so he is just a projection of the father.

In reality the father explains to the protagonist that his wife is his half sister. The father and the cop look the same and have the same voice. There are multiple things pointing to my theory being true. It only is the protagonists way to deal with the shock after his father finds him and tells him his wife is his half sister. It is too bad the game doesn't really explain what exactly happens but i believe that the whole time loop event never actually happens. I want to give my take on the ending because i am sure there are a lot of confused people out there or will be as soon as they finish it.
